Lateral 2 On/Off
Description:

Use a box or aerobic step approximately 6" tall.  Begin standing on the side of the box with a slight bend in your knees and your weight on the balls of your feet.  Start by stepping laterally onto the box with your inside, or lead, foot.  Follow with the trail leg and then step down on the opposite side of the box with your lead leg.  Follow with the trail leg.  This last step with the trail leg is a tap step on the ground and then you step back onto the box.  The trail leg has now become the lead leg.  Perform this movement pattern as quickly as possible while maintaining control.  Be sure not to cross-over when performing this movement.  Start out slow if you need to and then worry about picking up the pace.
