Q. What is the S.A.C.? A. The SAC is a place where you can get help in understanding concepts taught in Statistics 150, 251, 301 and 401. We can assist with lecture material, homework, and help prepare you for exams.
Q. Do I need to make an appointment to get help at the S.A.C.? A. No, just come in when we're open (see schedule).
Q. I really like the tutor who helped me last time. Can I make an appointment so I can make sure he/she helps me again?

A. We can't make appointments, but you can check the schedule and make sure to come in when that person is working.

Q. Who works at the S.A.C.?  A. All tutors are qualified graduate or undergraduate students or who excel in programs that require lots of statistics.
Q. Can I check the answers to my homework at the S.A.C.? A. Yes and no. To check just the answers, you should see your professor during office hours. When we assist with a specific problem, however, we'll let you know if you've done it correctly.
Q. I'm not in one of the Statistics classes listed, but my class is using statistics and I don't understand. Can you help me? A. Unfortunately, not at this time. Our resources and space are very limited, and we are funded by lab fees paid by students in Statistics 150, 251, 301 and 401. Please see your professor during their office hours if you need help with another course.
Q. I'm a graduate student and need help with the analysis in my thesis/dissertation. Can you help? A. No, but you can make an appointment with the Statistics Consulting Center (885-2929) and they will provide assistance.
Q. My question isn't answered here. Where can I find the answer? A. Drop by or send us an email at statsac(at)uidaho.edu and if we can't answer it, we will try to point you in the right direction.
Q. I did not like the help that I received. Who should I talk to about this? A. We are very sorry that you were not happy with our services. Please contact Renae Vincenti (Shrum), the SAC Coordinator in person or send her a message by filling out our comment form.
