Drivers Records
It is mandatory that anyone
requested to or required to drive a University of Idaho vehicle successfully
take a defensive driving course and has had a successful drivers record check. A
driver records is completed when the employee is first hired or before the
employee’s initial use of a university vehicle. Records need to be rechecked
every three (3) years. Checks for the state of Idaho may be made by designated
and approved unit personnel using the Idaho Department of Transportation’s
website, Access Idaho. Out of state license holders are responsible for providing a current
copy of their driving record. The policy for using UI vehicles,
forms, and a current list of employees able to conduct the
driver record checks are located on the website for Environmental Health & Safety
at
http://www.uidaho.edu/safety/.
