Associate Ombuds Roxanne
E. Schreiber, M. Ed.
joined the university in 1985 and was appointed assistant ombuds in 1998
and associate ombuds in 2000. With more than 20 years at UI, Ms. Schreiber's work experience includes both
employee-related services and student development
and support. In addition to her responsibilities as associate
ombuds, Ms. Schreiber coordinates the university Work/Life program
and serves as the university work/life specialist.Ms. Schreiber holds credentials as a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and as a national certified counselor (NCC). She is an experienced mediator, facilitator, and trainer. Ms. Schreiber holds master's degrees in Counseling and Human Services and in Vocational Education (with an emphasis in adult training and development). Her related professional interests include: interpersonal communication and group processes, human relations and conflict management, organizational ethics, and character development and citizenship. As a volunteer mediator for the Latah County District Court Small Claims Mediation Program, Ms. Schreiber has assisted Moscow and Latah County citizens with resolving landlord/tenant, family, business and other disputes. She has also served as a counselor and human services specialist with the Moscow Police Department Technical Reserve. Ms. Schreiber is an strong advocate of collaborative problem solving and is committed to fostering a safe, just and respectful workplace by assisting all university employees with managing their differences and by responding to campus concerns and differences.
