Assistant to the Faculty Secretary

Ann Thompson joined the Faculty Secretary/Ombuds Office in 1999, bringing with her 15 years of work experience at the University of Idaho. Prior to her positions with the University of Idaho, Ann completed training as a legal secretary and worked in the legal environment for eight years. Her experiences in that environment impressed on her the importance of confidentiality. As the Assistant to the Faculty Secretary Ann helps visitors and inquirers of the Ombuds Office with accessing ombuds services. In doing so, Ann makes it her priority to provide both confidentiality and sensitivity to people contacting the office. She is currently working towards completing her bachelor's degree in office administration. Ann has received two Outstanding Employee Awards, 1993 and 2002.
