Orientation & Arrival Information

The mandatory international student orientation typically lasts 3-4 days prior to the start of the UI semester.  See the UI Academic Calendar for regular semester dates.  The U.S. Department of Homeland Security requires that students check in with the UI's International Student Advisor (ISA), who will activate the immigration records of each student during orientation.  Orientation topics also cover the academic environment, services, and faculty of the University of Idaho.  It is a chance to learn about your stay at the university and to meet other students. 

Fall 2009 Orientation will be August 18th-21st.

To register for orientation, fill out the Orientation Registration form. If you need temporary housing before the residence halls open, fill out the Orientation Housing form to reserve a room at the Royal Motor Inn.
