Housing Information
On-Campus Housing Residence Halls rooms have either common bath facilities, where toilet/ shower facilities are located on each floor, or have semi-private bathrooms shared by one or more roommate. Of particular interest to students is the Global Village residence hall, which is located in the brand new Living Learning Community, the UI's newest and most popular dormitory. Global Village combines international and American students, for a welcoming and fun housing experience. Each Global Village suite will combine shared living, bathroom, and kitchen space with several shared or individual bedrooms. Check it out online by clicking here. Students living in residence halls MUST have a meal plan to eat in the University cafeteria. Residence hall rooms have a twin-sized bed, chair, desk, shelves, drawers, and a closet. You need to provide your own personal items. (sheets, pillowcases, etc.) Each resident hall room is equipped with phone hook-ups and an Ethernet connection. University Apartments are offered as a housing option for graduate students, nontraditional students, married couples, and families. All apartments have private bath and cooking facilities, and family housing apartments have hookups for your own laundry appliances. Students wishing to live on-campus must fill out a housing agreement and reserve their room. Once in Moscow, you can look at the room and at that point you will be asked to sign a housing contract. Do not sign this contract unless you are certain you want to stay in on-campus housing, as there are significant penalties for breaking the contract. If you have any questions about on-campus housing you may contact University Residences at housing@uidaho.edu.
