Living in Moscow
The University of Idaho is located in Moscow, Idaho - the gateway to a
natural wonderland. Nestled on the western slopes of the Rocky Mountains, UI
is the state's major research and graduate institution. The Moscow campus is
a panorama of lawns, large trees, flowerbeds, and stately brick buildings.
Approximately 70 educational and residential buildings are located on 1,420
acres of land. Our residential campus is home to 10 colleges and over 60
departments serving more than 11,000 undergraduate and graduate students,
including nearly 500 international students from over 85 countries. The
University of Idaho also offers NCAA Division I-A athletics, an 18-hole golf
course, the world-class Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival, and much more.

Moscow is a
friendly community of about 20,000 residents. In addition to the small town
setting, its population also enjoys many of the amenities of a much larger
community. Coffee shops, art galleries, theaters, clubs, bookstores and bike
paths abound. Nearby, you will also find some of the best (and least
crowded) sites for skiing, hiking, fishing, hunting, and mountain biking in
the region. Moscow is only eight miles east of Pullman, Washington - home of
Washington State University., The resort community of Coeur d’Alene,
Idaho and the city of Spokane, Washington are both less than a two hours
away. Those who
