The International Programs Office wants your transition to our campus to be smooth, and your experience here to be meaningful.  There are many opportunities to help you settle in, get to know our community and share your culture.  The following services are available to all students, scholars and their families.

 

Your experience at the U of I can be personalized and shaped by you!  To help you define and enrich your time here, check out the following services:

 

Settle in:

Many internationals travel a great distance to study here and arrive with just a suitcase.  To help you settle in, we've developed our Household Goods Exchange and Bike Loan Programs.  These programs support the Sustainability Initiative on our campus while helping students access low impact transportation and furnish apartments.

Engage:

Getting involved in campus activities can enrich your experience her.  Join or a lead a group, participate in leadership workshops, register at the Center for Volunteerism and Social Action or apply for Alternative Spring Break.  Any of these activities will add to your academic experience and build your resume!
