Eligibility:
                              2.5 GPA, Sophomore standing
Language of Instruction:          English

Academic Program:
Direct university enrollment in the following areas:

Botony • Business • Chemistry • Computer Science • East Indian Studies • Economics • Hindi Language • History • Hotel Management & Tourism • Journalism, Communication & Media • Mathematics & Statistics • Physics • Political Science • Psychology • Sociology • Zoology

Special Program Features:
    •  Optional field trips to Dussehra Festival in Mysore and The Ruins of the
        Vijayanagar Empire in Hampi
    •  Other optional local field trips may include visits to museums, software and
        business outsourcing companies, a film studio, the sixteenth century Bull Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, the Lalbagh Botanial Garden, Tipu Sultan's eighteenth century summer palace, Banerghatta National Park and other cultural, environmental, and historical sites.
    •  Students can take a Survival Hindi course for an additional fee
    •  Yoga and Indian Cooking courses are also available for an additional fee 

Housing:
    •  Shared rooms in apartments and hostels near campus

Dates (subject to change):

    Christ College Fall:            Late May - Mid-November
    Christ College Spring:        Late November - Late April
    USAC Spring:                   Early January - Mid-May

Program fees (subject to change): includes tuition, fees, student health insurance, some field trips and on-site orientation upon arrival.

  • In addition to USAC program fees paid to USAC, UI students will be charged the following fees to their UI student account (payable to UI Bursar):

$150 Application fee
$400/semester UI registration fee

        Vijayanagar Empire in Hampi, and also Belur & Halebedu and the Hoysala Temple
        Complex
    •  Students can take a Survival Hindi course for an additional fee
