The Kenyan Experience - Global Justice Service-Learning course:
All students will take this 3-credit course taught by the University
of Idaho Resident Director, Eric Mwenda.
This course explores real
world issues and problems such as the impacts of globalization, HIV/AIDs
and health care; environmental and natural resource management;
poverty; human rights; and economic development from a Kenyan and
East African perspective. The course also includes a service project,
which might be group oriented, individual, or a combination of both.
- Global Justice Certificate Program:
The Global Justice
Service-Learning course and other related courses at KEMU can be
applied towards a 15 credit Global Justice Certificate. More
information on the certificate program can be found at UI’s
International Programs Office or the Department of Philosophy.

Special Program Features: |

Field studies are an important part of this program. Each term,
students will participate in an excursion. Excursions might
include trips to Mount Kenya, Meru National Park, Mombassa, Nairobi
& the Masai Mara National Reserve.
