College Year in Athens (CYA) Application

 

Steps to Applying to CYA Semester/Summer Programs:

Complete CYA Semester Application (pdf) or CYA Summer Application (pdf) and additional application requirements: Biographical Data Statement of Study Abroad Approval Academic Plan Personal Statement Official Transcripts 2 Academic References (to be submitted to UI Study Abroad in sealed envelopes) $50 CYA Application Fee for Semester Programs, $35 CYA Application Fee for Summer Programs CYA Scholarship Application (pdf) (if interested in applying) Send or turn-in the following to UI Study Abroad: CYA Application and additional application requirements as listed above UI Supplemental Application & Agreement (pdf) Official transcripts from all universities and colleges that you have attended. Note: - If you are a UI student, use the UI Transcript Request form(pdf) to do this.  Please write "UI Study Abroad" in the "Mail to" box. 1 Passport size photo Disciplinary Clearance Form (pdf) (UI Students only) Transfer Credit Letter of Understanding (pdf)  (Non-UI students only) By Delivery: UI Study Abroad International Programs University of Idaho 901 Paradise Creek Street LLC Building # 3, Ground Floor Moscow, Idaho 83844-1250 By Regular Mail: UI Study Abroad International Programs University of Idaho P.O. Box 441250 Moscow, Idaho 83844-1250 UI Student Fees: $150 application fee – charged to your UI student account when you apply. Note: Non-UI students should send a check payable to UI Bursar with their application. $400/semester, $300/summer UI registration/programming fee. Charged prior to your departure.

Preferred Application Deadlines:

For Fall or Academic Year:    April 1 For Spring:    October 15 For Summer:    Priority: March 1 Final: April 1 Note:  Some programs fill prior to the application deadlines.  Students should apply early to ensure a spot on the program.  Also, the UI Study Abroad Office will consider additional applicants after these deadlines provided space is still available on the program.

UI Refund Policies:

The $150 application fee is non-refundable UI registration/programming fee is refundable if you withdraw from your program by the billing deadlines below. Non-refundable after these dates. Fall/Full-Year Programs: July 1st Spring Programs: December 1st Summer Programs: May 1st For your specific program fees, please refer to your program's refund policy on their website.
