Your completed application pack should consist of:

• Australian Education Connection (AEC) Application (pdf) and required documents listed on the form
  - Note:  your AEC Faculty/Advisor Recommendation form should be filled-out by an academic advisor/faculty.  Your Study Abroad advisor does not have the information necessary to be able to give you an academic recommendation.
• 1 Passport Size Photo
• $50 Program Deposit
• UI Study Abroad Agreement
• Official Transcripts from all universities and colleges you have attended
  - Note: the AEC application says unofficial is acceptable, but you will need OFFICIAL instead.
  - UI Transcript Request form (pdf) (UI Students only) - please write "UI Study Abroad" in the "Mail to" box.
• Disciplinary Clearance Form (pdf) (UI Students only)
• Transfer Credit Letter of Understanding (pdf) (Non-UI students only)
• A $150 non-refundable application fee will be charged to your UI Student Account (non-UI students should send a check payable to UI Bursar with their application).

UI Student Fees:

• $150 application fee – charged to your UI student account when you apply.
• $400/semester, $250/summer UI registration/programming fee. Charged prior to your departure.

Preferred Application Deadlines:

For Fall or Academic Year:    April 1
For Spring:    October 15
For Summer:    March 15

Note:  Some programs fill prior to the application deadlines.  Students should apply early to ensure a spot on the program.  Also, the UI Study Abroad Office will consider additional applicants after these deadlines provided space is still available on the program.
 

UI Refund Policies:

• The $150 application fee is non-refundable

• UI registration/programming fee refunded if students cancel by application deadlines above.  Non-refundable after these dates.
