Friendship Family Information:
Friendship Families help students make connections to the Moscow and campus
community, practice conversational English, and learn about U. S. culture.
The participating families develop friendships with students from countries
they may never have visited, but can learn about through this personal
contact.
Matches are made from the available pool of interested families and
students, with special attention given to shared interests. Periodically
throughout the year, IFA sponsors events for our Friendship Families and
students. Trips to Garfield, Washington to press apple cider, bike rides on
the Chipman Trail, pumpkin carving at Halloween, and kite flying at Wicks
Field are just a few examples of the activities our students and families
enjoy.
