published. They were created to aid in our research and are provided
herein to support the research described on this site.
Some data were collected from
published sources and compiled with data generated by project team
members. The source information is available in the attribute table of
each shp file. Information from published sources is of variable quality
depending on the scale and quality of the original publication. Data
collected from published sources were digitized from published paper maps.
The spatial data were formatted in AutoCAD MAP 2000i and ArcGIS and
exported to shp file format.
Topographic data were created
using 10-meter Digital Elevation Models available from the United States
Geological Survey. Other supporting planimetric data such as PLSS,
transportation and hydrography are available from the US Geological Survey
at http://edc.usgs.gov/geodata/,
the BLM at http://www.geocommunicator.gov/lsi/,
and the
University
of
Idaho
at http://inside.uidaho.edu/.
