APPOINTMENT OF ADMINISTRATORS WITH ACADEMIC RANK

An administrative or service officer may be appointed with or without academic rank, except that an administrator of an academic department must hold academic rank in a discipline. The faculty of the department in which it is proposed to grant academic rank to an administrator is asked to evaluate the person as a potential colleague. [See 3520 F-4.]
