Adopt-a-SNOTEL is a program to help teachers use Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) SNOTEL sites throughout the west to teach lessons in science, math, hydrology, water quality, the environment, and conservation using real world data and concepts their students can relate to.

What is SNOTEL?

SNOTEL is short for snow telemetry. It is the acronym for the snow monitoring sites used by the NRCS through much of the west to track snowfall and water throughout the winter.
