EPA EPSCoR Funding
Notice from Darrell Winner at EPA
After careful consideration, EPA has decided to
follow the lead of NSF
and USDA to fund proposals from EPSCoR states that have passed peer
review and fall just below funding through regular EPA STAR
solicitations (see http://es.epa.gov/ncer/).
We feel that this will result in funding high
quality research and will
allow the investigators to become familiar with the STAR program.
EPA
plans use its limited EPSCoR resources through this process and will
no
longer issue separate EPSCoR solicitations.
EPA continues to be committed to quality
environmental research. We look
forward to a renewed partnership with EPSCoR states to enhance the
competitiveness of their environmental research.
The listing of current and pending solicitations
is available at the
STAR website http://es.epa.gov/ncer/rfa/. This website also contains
detailed instructions on how to submit an application.
