FY2008 DEPSCoR Awards Announced

  • Dr. Jim Browning, of Boise State University, is being awarded one of 33 FY08 DEPSCoR awards. The DoD announcement was released on March 26, 2008. Click here for a complete list of FY08 DEPSCoR awards.

 

FY09 DEPSCoR in Idaho

  • The FY2009 DEPSCoR Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) hat not yet been released. Idaho EPSCoR has encouraged the Vice President for Research at each of Idaho's public universities to identify several high-potential DEPSCoR projects for FY09. Idaho EPSCoR will announce a schedule for statewide project selection in July 2008.

History of DEPSCoR Awards to Idaho

  • 2008 - One research award to BSU which requested $545,735

  • 2007 - Two research awards: one to BSU for $368,000,and one to UI for $554,800.

  • 2005 - One research award to BSU totaling $375,000.

  • 2003 - One research award to UI totaling ~$500,000 over three years.

  • 2002 - One research award to UI totaling $333,333 over three years.

  • 2001 - Three research awards to UI totaling $851,265 over three years.

  • 2000 - Six research awards:  five to UI and one to BSU totaling $1.95 million over three years.

  • 1999 - Three research awards to UI totaling $819,307 over three years.

  • 1997-1998 - Eight research awards: two to BSU, one to ISU and five to UI, totaling $2.2 million over three years.

  • 1995-1996 - Five research awards: four to UI and one to BSU, totaling $1.2 million over three years.

  • 1994 - Two research awards to BSU, $192,133 (mathematics) and $293,991 (geophysics) for three years.

  • 1993 - One statewide planning grant for the purpose of determining how Idaho universities can best meet the current and future DOD research goals - $37,050 plus $24,588 in-kind university contributions.
