Pre-Pharmacy
American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (www.aacp.org): AACP is the
national organization representing pharmaceutical education in the United
States. The mission of the Association is to both represent and be an
advocate for all segments of the academic community in the profession of
pharmacy.

Pharmacy College Application Service (PharmCAS): This centralized
service will allow applicants to use a single application and one set of
official US and/or Canadian transcripts to apply to multiple PharmD degree
programs. PharmCAS will collect and process applications to pharmacy
colleges and schools that participate in this service. Applicants who
apply through PharmCAS will submit a completed web-based application
comprised of biographical data, post secondary institutions attended,
academic course history, work experience, extracurricular activities, and
a personal statement, and official transcripts from all accredited US and
Canadian institutions attended. This site also offers access to
information on the application requirements as well as links to
school-specific information, policies and procedures. This site includes a
directory of accredited U.S. pharmacy colleges and schools.

The Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT) is a multiple-choice
general aptitude test that measures five content areas: Verbal Ability,
Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Biology and Chemistry.
Approximately half of all pharmacy schools require the PCAT for admission.
The deadline to apply for the PCAT is approximately five weeks prior to
the test date. Test dates are usually in October, January and April.
